  2. Yikes. If you are writing a book, use facts & real science that can be backed up, not this dribble.

    5. so if someone disagrees it must be that they work or are being paid by Monsanto? Ridiculous that people try to claim they fight for people's rights yet in the next breathe attempt to rape another of their constitutional right of personal opinion speech and everything there of. Don't fight for things you don't understand if you cannot fully support something.

  3. I am so lucky to have had a friend send this to me from the U.S. This is a scary story about how major corporations are controlling most of the farming community not just in Canada, but around the world. If you can spare an hour to watch, you will learn how the legal system is being asked to rule on genetically changed seeds can be patented to the large Company - MONSANTO. Even though this film was done in 2009, it gives us an understanding of the long and arduous fight these farmers have to won their own seeds. Why aren't people protesting on the streets about something so important to how and what we eat. I revere the farming family. It's after all, our food that should have great sanctity to the individual farmer. Please look

    1. They do protest on the streets, it just isn't getting much media coverage. http://www.march-against-monsanto.com/p/blog-page.html That is a list of cities all over the world where the next event will be held (scroll all the way to the right for the link to each individual protest event). There's also: http://occupy-monsanto.com/tag/protest/

    1. many farmers everywhere kill themselves, and in many cases it has to do with the solitary life of a farmer as well as the pressure that comes with relying upon weather. In many cases farmers crops can be destroyed by one event, leading to financial troubles as well as feelings of futility

now i'm not saying that large corporations don't add to the suicide rate, but to blame it on Monsanto exclusively is incorrect

  9. This is just the beginning. Soon, there will be a food shortage, who do you think will be behind that? Breaking down communities, families, friendships—Taking away your rights people. If they can do this with a freaking seed, how much more would they do with other things? Get together and get rid of Monsanto.

  10. Every farmer on the planet should sue Monsanto and force them to remove their seed and plant from the farmers land, and ensure it never spreads to their farmland again. If every farmer did this, Monsanto would be forced out of business.
It is simply a matter commonsense, Monsanto should not be able to spread something like that around, without expressed permission from the farmer. Nevertheless, I fear this is simply the beginning of the genetic problem.

  13. Those judges that rule in favor of Monsanto should be required to indulge in a strict diet of Monsanto products only! This is a means to gain the first hand knowledge of the product they're ruling in favor of. Poetic justice... ("Ignorance is no excuse"...come judgement day, many a judge's being will be rocked and shocked by the vibration of these words.) ☼

  14. Monsanto has an agenda that is blatantly transparent. They want to control the food supply of the world. They MUST be stopped. GMO's must be banned here, as they have been in so many other countries. It is an absolute evil act to make it so that farmers may not re-use seeds. That the world cannot re-use seeds ... this is madness. We are allowing a corporation to destroy our food supply. STOP MONSANTO. Ban them. Don't buy Round-Up; don't use Round-Up.

  15. I am a biologist who specifically studies genetics, and it is fine to question the new idea of genetically modified foods. But you must back your ideas up with facts and studies. So far there have been no studies that show that genetically modified foods are bad for you. If someone can tell me the metabolic process in which GMOs harm a human please tell me. Because if not, you are condemning millions of people to death because of a major food shortage we are/will be experiencing.

    1. Really?? I think we have a a couple of Monsanto people infiltrated here. We are not stupid. If GMO's are so good why are there more people starving in the world? There's is enough food in the world to feed over 7 billion people.

  16. KimA you must also work for Monsanto because there have also been no studies that prove GMOs don't harm the human body but there are studies that prove that GMO foods cause tumors in rats.

  17. My country Perú, has banned Monsanto for 10 years, hopefully at the end of the 10 years my government banned them again, but this time forever. They are trying some ways to get in our lands or via products that are imported. Now is the responsibility of those import companies to not allow those products, strciter laws need to be in place.
