    2. make your own food. simple as that. all these things are what they call processed foods, because they are pre-made: premade cookies, chips, sugary drinks, soups, sauces, condiments, breakfast cereals. just make your own at home and that solves that. for example, i have started making my own mayo. it's super easy and much cheaper too. me and my kids only eat cooked cereals like oatmeal, or you can buy organic too if that's easier. fruits and vegetables are gmo free. conventional meat, however, isn't. good luck, everybody, stay strong and stand up to these food fascists. your health depends upon it.

Also remember when you go grocery shopping, if you don't have a Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joe's, or any similar type stores, do the bulk of your shopping around the perimeter of the store - that's where you will find the produce, cold items, fresh/frozen foods, etc. Taking a stroll through the inner aisles shows that it is truly "processed food paradise." There are barely any products that haven't been canned, dried, baked, brined, sweetened, salted, preserved, powdered, or pulverized, with all the good stuff removed, and bad stuff added. The only things I tend to now purchase from the "inner sanctum" is club soda and whole bean coffee...and even those are suspect! :( Looking forward to the next March against Monsanto on October 12, that's for sure!

    3. Maybe there is nothing medically wrong with her son that can be linked with evidence at this time to GMO ingredients. My problem with this - being a parent myself - is that I have a right to decide what my child does or doesn't eat, and I have right as a consumer to know what I am buying. Just as a vegetarian is allowed to turn down a sauce at a restaurant that has been made with chicken stock for no other reason than freedom of choice - the same right should be extended to a mother who wants non-GMO for their kids.

It also seems pro-GMOs have you and your family by the balls and under the impression that you couldn't sustain an income / a supply without GMO. My family (though not myself) are GE free farmers and do well for themselves. Let me remind you also that the growing population - despite your GMO efforts - are still starving in many parts of the world. The problem is not in the creation of food, it's in the distribution and accessibility of the food. Through economics and politics this can be remedied, but guess who controls those?

I don't mean to attack you and I am sorry if it sounds that way but I do hope you see that GMO food and complete control of our seed by one company is not the only way like you may have been led to believe - if it even is a way!?

Everyone on here has their right to voice their opinion and that's a right the people of our nation have fought hard to protect but my family raises GMO products on our 4,000 acre family farm (yes, my father, my uncle, and myself). We do this as a means to provide a sustainable food to a growing population. Although some may have the ability to raise and provide organic products, these foods are not only loosely regulated (moreso than GMO), but are not sustainable from an economic standpoint. A majority of Americans cannot afford $15/lb beef, $10 tacos, or $30 salads on a regular

    2. Well Mr. Mike Carey the next time you look across the fields raise your head up high and be proud of the fact that you are poisoning the American population. All to save money? Your reasoning for being a GMO farmer is a cop out reason. You're doing it to pad your pockets. As each day passes Americans are becoming more and more aware of what is happening. Eventually you and your families farm won't be in business any more. The state of Connecticut has passed it's own laws on labelling. Soon other states will follow. For now feel proud that you are NOT feeding Americans however you are poisoning them.

      Delete
    3. Your reason for providing poison to Americans is to provide a sustainable food to a growing population? You think people truly believe that garbage? Sorry Mike Carey, but the word is out now. Each day people are becoming more and more aware. Connecticut has passed a bill on labelling. Soon, other states will too. This is not a matter of opinion. It's pure facts. Monsanto has done what the tobacco companies did in the past. Why squash out the reports of GMO's being linked to several different types of illness. You also must not be a Christian. You're doing it to pad your pockets. Shame on you!!! In fact, this is going to be a hot topic at the next elections. Once politicians that promise to squash out GMO, will get all the American votes. Prepare yourself, Mr. Mike Carey. Because the American population is, and everyday this word is getting out more and more.

    4. Mike, that sounds like it came right out of the literature Monsanto gave you when they sold you the seeds. Sadly there is nothing sustainable or healthy about GMO's. Please do yourself, your family and the planet a favor and educate yourself further on some of the latest developments. Watch the movie Genetic Roulette where several medical doctors talk about how sick their patients were until they told them to eliminate GMO's from their diet. Organics may cost a bit more but, the way I look at it, I'd rather pay the farmer (that would be YOU) than the doctor and I am definitely not alone in this.

      Delete
    5. The only reason that organic food is so expensive is because Monsanto has made it expensive. Organic farming was sustainable for thousands of years before GMO came along.

    6. You can justify that to yourself if you want to Mike but you are helping make People sick. The bottom line is YOU choose to raise GMO crops. I do not choose to eat them.

I got informed and changed his diet to completely organic, and he is like a different child! He's speech improved 100% and he does not show any more behavioral problems. 23. Sir,
    Mr. Michael Carey,
Please do some research. Fifty Countries, 400 global rallies and two million registered marchers, can not be wrong! That is as large as a World War...
Monsanto has been removed and banned by,
Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Luxemburg, Medeira, New Zealand, Peru, South Australia, Russia, France and Switzerland!
There are documentaries on your specific predicament.
FOOD INC., look for it. You obviously have the Internet.
Monsanto is stealing, straight out of the pockets of the American Farmers.
The proof is in the medical journals, written by Doctors of medicine! We as human beings are organic. We are not Genetically Modified. GMO's have been proven to harm our bodies AND MONSANTO has admitted this, through many forms of media. GMO's have been linked to many diseases. Such as, liver failure, heart murmurs, Alzheimer's, Ulcers, Skin rashes, Autism, Autoimmune deficiency disorders like diabetes, antihistamine disorders. The list goes on forever!
Nature can not have a patent placed on it, but Monsanto found a way. This country was founded on principals against Monopolies, which is what Monsanto's goal is to create.
They are UnAmerican to our fore fathers ideals.
I understand your side. I understand the feeding of the hungry. Good for you, great for you and more power to you Sir!
But power, real power, is information, education, knowledge. Please research. Prove me wrong, prove Monsanto to be correct and Just. I challenge you Sir, show me, show them, show your wife, your kids that daddy stops at nothing to find the truth.
I'm a father too, and I want the best for my kids. First and fore most, health. Also knowledge and the ability to recognize tyranny when ever it shows its ugly face. Even if that face hides behind authority, behind common values, yes, and even behind the church of god.
Don't you wish these ideals for you children, for all children? I know you do. I have to believe it. I have to believe in you. I have to believe that someone misinformed can recognize the truth. Because if I can't believe, then we as the, human race, have nothing. Nothing to look forward to for our own sake, for our children's sake, and for the sake of generations to come!
In that case, in the case where people don't care and sit lazily by while accepting all the propaganda/lies feed to them by salesman and business owners, by policeman and politicians and by lawyers and lobbiests...? We are dooming ourselves to a desperate future. A barren waste land with no freedom but to die!
If you think me to be dramatic and exaggerating. Then know this last point. Science has proven, that without the Nobel Honey Bee, our world as we know it, lush and green, will, most definitely, waste away to nothingness! GMO's are indirectly associated to the deaths and disappearance of the worlds honey bees. How you might ask? Well bee keepers use all of the honey to turn a profit. The bees need something to eat. So the Keeper feed them a substitute. Corn syrup! Look it up. What is Monsanto's chief GMO? That's right, Corn and corn byproducts.
If genetic modification harm a human being, 6ft 200lb., what must it due, by process of elimination, do to a tiny bee? Only milligrams of weight and millimeters in length.
One of the greatest scientists of the twentieth century, our Dr. Albert Einstein himself said, Without the bee our planet will not survive another decade!
In conclusion my friend. Let me express my admiration and appreciation for all your hard work, and especially for your generosity to those of use less fortunate Mr. Michael Carey.
    Sincerely yours,
    Jason Alexander Gerrard

  24. There are more foods that have GMOs in them that are not listed here. I've gotten reports of specific types of flour, sugar, fruits and vegetables that are also products of gmos. I've noticed that a lot of the produce I buy tastes more like rubber than real produce. Red, yellow, and orange prepackaged peppers are no good. The taste is off and the skin is extra tough. My grandfather used to grow peppers that were 6"inches in diameter and up. these store products are all tiny and made for mass production.

  25. Well... what's left is organic, wholesome, natural foods. Interesting that not one of those brands listed are in my pantry. I encourage people to look at their diets and how it really is so closely related to our health and wellness.
If you can, grow a garden, organically or seek out farmers markets. Much of the "health food" store prices are not so much more than the other brands. Do be aware thought that there is another list, just like this one, but with many brands you see in the health food stores. All the best and to your health!

  29. Organic is the only way to go. Buying local organic is the best. It's not as expensive as people may think. There are other places to go besides Whole Foods. I made a rule for myself that I am only eating organic and if it's too expensive then I will eat less. I spend two years in Costa Rica where nothing is GMO (yet). It's amazing how much better I felt once I got the poison out of my system. I ate meat, fish, veggies, awesome fruit and felt better every day I was there. Since I have been back in the states (one month) I can already notice a difference if I eat in a restaurant. We are being poisoned here and really very few people are even aware that most of the ills in this country are caused by what we eat.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I agree with Robert Griffith, but I'll go one further since our own government has been with the corporations all this time, we lock them all up and feed them the leftovers from the GMO factories. We have to do more than just change our eating habits, we have to protect those who don't know or won't believe because they have been brainwashed to believe what the media says is correct. It is a worldwide problem and spreading the word is the first order of business.

  37. Seriously??!! This lists covers just about the entire grocery store! So what's left to eat? What are we to do? Starve to death, instead? As senior citizens on a low, fixed income, we, and countless others in similar situations, cannot AFFORD the heatlhy foods, which are ALWAYS priced much higher than the junky foods.
Make our own, you say? Easier said than done, especially for seniors with mobility and health issues. The budget also comes into play again. It USED TO BE less expensive to make your own food; no longer. I tried to make salt-free tomato sauce from scratch as a base for my own spaghetti sauce to accommodate my husband's salt-free diet. Guess what? At a cost of $6.00 for ingredients, and an entire day in the kitchen, I got a yield of about a quart jar. The same I could have bought in the store, ready-made, for about $4. and change for the most pricey brand name.....How does that make economic sense? So, on our income, I am stuck with the too-high-salt 98-cent crap spaghetti sauce in a can.....
What really needs to happen is a law prohibiting healthy food from costing more than unhealthy foods. THAT would turn things around quickly--hit these big agri-business corporations in the bank account, and they'll change their tune.
